The dish is divided into two semicircular panels, each richly painted with classic Imari elements: cobalt blue, iron red and a white porcelain ground. The lower panel features a fan motif with serpent pattern, flowers and color blocks, while the upper panel presents a central fan surrounded by bonsai and lotus motifs.

The scalloped rim and raised white center point add relief and character. The reverse shows a dark blue peony and ribbon motif, highlighting the artisanal craftsmanship.
