Deze karaktervolle, traditioneel vervaardigde Keulse waterkan uit het Westerwaldgebied, eind 19e – begin 20e eeuw, is een prachtig voorbeeld van Duits utilitair steengoed. Het robuuste, licht ovale lichaam met elegant gevormde tuit en stevig oor verwijst naar klassieke waterkannen die door huishoudens werden gebruikt voor dagelijks watertransport. De natuurlijke grijs‑beige steengoedtinten en het ambachtelijke zoutglazuur geven dit object een tijdloze en landelijke uitstraling — een stuk dat meteen authenticiteit en historische charme toevoegt aan elke ruimte.

De buik is rijk gedecoreerd met kobaltblauwe vrijhandmotieven, waaronder florale penseelstreken, sierlijke krullen en een centraal cirkelornament.
